Introduction
Why does reading drop off among nine-year-old kids, and even more when they reach thirteen? Do boys really read less than girls? Why has screen-based entertainment grabbed so much attention? How does a kid get away from their screen and find their way to long-form storytelling? Are ebooks or audiobooks a good way to rekindle a relationship with books? What makes a breakout YA title?
Each episode of Seasons 1 and 2 explored science fiction, fantasy, and climate fiction— genres that aren’t just entertainment, but blueprints for how we envision our future.
